Becoming Parenting Centre is thrilled to welcome Dr. Jack Newman to our Centre.  Dr. Newman is the world renown author of Dr. Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding" Harper-Collins, 2000 entitled The Ultimate Breastfeeding Book of Answers and published by Prima Publishing, 2000 in the U.S.   Dr. Newman developed the Original Induced Lactation Protocol and co-developed the Newman-Goldfarb protocols for induced lactation.  Dr. Newman has also used his protocols to help many adoptive mothers successfully breastfeed their children.

Dr. Newman will discuss induced lactation and explain how adoptive mothers can breastfeed their children.  Nursing an adoptive baby involves both getting the baby to the breast and producing milk for the baby, adoptive mothers can choose to try to do one or both of these.
