This popular prenatal class offers expectant moms a chance to learn about adjusting to changes during pregnancy, birth and the post-partum period. You will receive up-to-date information from expert speakers and experienced facilitators to help you have a healthy and happy pregnancy. Interactive discussions make sure that all your questions are answered to help ensure that you are as ready as you can be for your new little bundle of joy. The experienced facilitators are also mothers who discuss strategies and tips to make pregnancy, childbirth and parenting easier on you and your baby. Research shows that being prepared for birth and connecting with other new mothers helps women to adjust to parenthood and reduces baby blues. Even better, these classes are fun and informative evenings out and a great way to connect with other pregnant women!

- Pre and post natal health and nutrition
- Breastfeeding, everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask
- Postpartum mood changes – Are you at risk? When/where to get help
- Pre and Post natal fitness and body changes
- Labour and childbirth discussion
- Car seats, strollers and other baby gear
- Checklist detailing everything you’ll need for hospital and home
This class meets 5 Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm (except gear night which goes until 9:30pm). Dads are invited to the gear evening which usually takes place in the second last week. After the gear presentation, the moms and dads will split into 2 groups to discuss gender specific issues. The dads will receive information on the best ways to support their wives during labour and the post partum period and maximizing the father-newborn bond.
